Essay Writing at ISSB - Notes - Guidlines

ISSB has introduced a 30 minutes essay writing to be conducted on first day. The size and the time frame for it as ISSB, hardly fits in an essay writing in classic sense; however, give the background of the candidates it can be a good exercise. These notes are meant as quick guidelines for essay writing at issb.

What are the Subjects for Essay Writing at ISSB?
The topic is expected to be such that candidate have adequate knowledge about it. The topics of essay writing at issb, revolves around social, cultural and general awareness matters.

How to Prepare for Essay Writing at ISSB
• Try to learn pattern / format mention in the mind map section of this forum here.
• Practice writing any topic of your interest keeping time (30 minutes).
• While writing try to make a point rather than lengthy explanation. Keep readers level in view.
• Make a 'mind map' or draft outline before starting to write.
• After writing, show it to parents, teachers, family to get suggestions for improvement.
• Write 4-5 practice articles on different topics to get fluent.
• Be bold and courageous
• Write neat and with least errors.
• Use your inner voice.
• Be moderate and suggestive.
• Write in small sentences.

What should be distribution of Time for Essay Writing at ISSB
• Read topic carefully.
• Plan your writing; Prepare mind-map quick, draft outline.

Time Distribution:
• Arrange thoughts on rough paper - Time 5-7 minutes (example at the end).
• Introduction - 1 para - 1/3rd of page - 3 minutes
• Discussion/Main Points - 1.5 page - 20 minutes

    all aspects are considered at issb, selection/rejection isn't done for a single aspect like this.

    Hello admin! two really quick questions. 1st is it necessary to present domicile at the AR&SC on the day of initial test along with rest of the documents? 2nd- what is exact number of verbal and non verbal questions in the initial test and what is the exact amount of time allocated for it ?

    Academic tests of which course? You can find detail of initial test exams including academic test of PMA at viewtopic.php?t=10 and practice tests at viewtopic.php?t=100
