Selection Process

- Advertisement in leading newspapers
- Registration at PAF website or any of the Recruitment Centers of PAF in Pakistan
- Intelligence Test (100 MCQs 45 Minutes - Verbal 40, non verbal 60 - For CAE, 35 Minutes) - Sample / mock Verbal and Non Verbal Intelligence Test

- Academic Test:

• English – 75 questions – 40 minutes (For CAE 50 questions in 25 minutes)
• Physics – 75 Questions – 40 minutes (For CAE 50 questions in 25 minutes)
• Syllabus (GDP) and AD:Measurements, Vectors and Equilibrium, Motion and Force, Work, Power and Energy, Circular Motion, Fluid Dynamics, Oscillations, Waves, Physical Optics, Optical Instruments, Heat and Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Electromagnetism, Electromagnetic Induction, Alternating Current, Physics of Solids, Electronics, Dawn of Modern Physics, Atomic Spectra, Nuclear Physics.

Initial Test Academic Test Syllabus

A. English (50 MCQs)
Designed to evaluate core functional grammar and mechanics.
Key areas include:

• Prepositions, Articles, and Conjunctions.
• Active and Passive Voice.
• Direct and Indirect Speech (Narration).Synonyms and Antonyms (Vocabulary).
• Sentence Correction and Syntax.
• Idioms and Phrasal Verbs.

B. Physics (50 MCQs)

• Drawn from standard F.Sc (Part 1 & Part 2) textbook concepts. The focus is on theoretical understandings, units, and basic principles rather than long derivations:
• Mechanics & Dynamics: Measurements, Vectors & Equilibrium, Motion & Force, Work, Power & Energy, Circular Motion, and Fluid Dynamics.
• Waves & Optics: Oscillations, Wave behavior, Physical Optics (Interference, Diffraction), and Optical Instruments.
• Thermodynamics: Heat, laws of thermodynamics, and kinetic theory of gases.
• Electricity & Magnetism: Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Electromagnetism, and Electromagnetic Induction.
